Patios Patios
Our patio areas always add an extra room to the home. Ideal for playing with the kids, entertaining guests with a barbecue or creating a secret part of the garden. The overall look of the garden normally helps select the type of flagstone and choices are immense. The cottage planting really finishes of this section of the garden.

Bradstone Old Riven Patio with traditional planting scheme.
This patio area was completed last January, it used to be a dog pen but after seeing work which we carried out for their son, my clients decided to make better use of the space.

Autumn cotswold random paving. Autumn cotswold random paving.
This property in Durham was built from random sandstone and my clients wanted to use a product that would blend, the use of curves and circles in this design breaks up right angles which makes it much more pleasing to the eye. Mediterranean style planting was the only choice for the colour and texture of the surroundings.

Trustone by Stonemarket natural stone.
Natural stone comes with many benefits, it's warm look and texture is second to none and it never ages.

Using a lighter colour can lift a small area and make it light and airy, this gives the area a larger feel.

The products on show here are a nice combo. The property was victorian an had alot of period features such as the origional sandstone steps.

Marshalls Calder Brown Random Flagstones.
Marshalls always deliver with olde worlde products and in my opinion are the leaders in decorative pre-cast concrete flagstones.

Natural slate by Stonemarket. Natural slate by Stonemarket.
This slate is quarried in India and exported back to Britain. It is absolutely fantastic to use in traditional or contemporary design.

Cotswold and Slate flagstones from Coxhoe Paving.

The patio material on display here is manufactured locally and we deal direct which can work out more cost effective, especially if it's a medium to large project. The walling is Madoc by Bradstone and is a very good match. However photography was never my strong point, hence the awful red plastic in the background. The steps actually lead up to a fully heated jacuzzi.

Octant by Stonemarket. Octant by Stonemarket.

Geometrical design is everything in a garden and octagon's are one of the most up to date shapes. This small seating area is finished with terracotta tile on edge and helps maximise usage of the garden to catch the morning or evening rays.

Total contrast in colour in this case looks very contemporary if you're British but in certain parts of the world would be classed as traditional.

Bradstone Autumn Gold Paving. Bradstone Autumn Gold Paving.

Autumn Gold is one of four colours available in this popular flagstone. This garden used to slope towards the rear of this property until we re- designed it and made it a split level garden. The walling is Bradstone countrystone.
