Examples of various driveways which we laid. The decision on which product to choose for a such a project is mainly based on the overall colour of the property, i.e bricks, lintels window frames and roof. For example, if your property is newly built a contemporary block paviour is likely to compliment the look of your home. However if your home was built pre war then a more 'olde worlde' approach may be beneficial.

There are a lot of different combinations to consider when designing your driveway such as, which colour border to use to blend with the main driveway or maybe you are thinking of re-designing the garden to the left or right of the driveway, this could also have a bearing on which kind of block you should use.

All of our driveways are laid with block pavious at least 60mm thick, the most popular blocks these days are Thomas Armstrong Beamish Cobbles or Lake Lad Country Stone. These are both 60mm deep and of excellent quality. We have extensive display areas at Thompson Building Centre, which has a varied range of driveways, walling and patio products to suit all tastes.
