Evergreen Waterfall GardenEvergreen Waterfall Garden

The garden on show here was completed around 10 years ago. The client was a very enthusiastic gardener which is becoming less frequent these days. The client loved the sound of 'trickling water' and was a great admirer of Foligge Plants. As the example shows the majority of the planting used was Evergreen. The reason behind this was the garden was a mass of colour, height and texture all year round.

DrivewaysDriveways

Examples of various driveways which we laid. The decision on which product to choose for a such a project is mainly based on the overall colour of the property, i.e bricks, lintels window frames and roof. For example, if your property is newly built a contemporary block paviour is likely to compliment the look of your home. However if your home was built pre war then a more 'olde worlde' approach may be beneficial.

Sloping GardenSloping Garden

This garden is a prime example of what we do when the land slopes towards your home. Before the job started it had been worked on by a previous landscaper, who made a very poor job of the design. There was no creativity or design ideas and a lawn had just been laid on the existing slopes of the garden.

Semi Circular StepsSemi Circular Steps

These steps show that not only full circles can be obtained with these rotina packs but also ¼ and semi circular steps to lead down to a different level of the garden.
Also winding patios can be formed in an informal looking garden.

Figure 8Figure 8

This example is two Swaledale New Yorkstone rotunda's 'inter mingled' to form a figure 8. The surrounding stones are terracotta tiles and the aggregate is celtic plum slate chippings.

Sea-sideSea-side

The client this next example was constructed for, live on the east coast of England whare less hardy plants struggle due to the strong winds and salt air. The client requested a 'sea side' looking garden, therefore included within the design is a jetty and roped enclosure to create a nautical look.

Matured GardenMatured Garden

The Design on this garden was carried out over 20 years ago by another landscaper.
Although the garden isn't in this shot it was designed to look like a ship as the previous owners of the property were involved heavily in the North East ship building industry.
My clients wanted to create a patio area which would blend in with the existing surroundings and complement the already matured garden.

Weathered Stone PatioWeathered Stone Patio

My clients managed to drop a bombshell on me for this job. The original design was to create a patio area big enough for 70 guests as they enjoyed entertaining on a regular basis. They also had a family of three boys two off which were below 11 years of age so I considered this when putting in a lawn area to the upper level.

Narrow GardenNarrow Garden

This Garden was in a terrible mess before we started it's a very long and narrow front garden and it was full of monster size shrubs which hadn't been pruned for many years.
